We are travelling on our cyclocross bikes, a Liv Brava SLR (2018) and a Canyon Inflite AL (2013), with some upgrades here and there.
We aim on covering about 150 km a day and therefore have prioritised speed over comfort, selecting a setup that is aero and light. Sure, it would be nice with some more clothes, better of-the-bike shoes and a bigger tent, but it adds up a bit too fast. We are using bikepacking bags mounted on the bike and mostly not protruding too much from the width of the frame.
Allthough considering creditpacking (staying only in hotels) we opted for bringing a tent and a stove in order to travel a bit more freely. This brings the weight up with about 4 kg pr person, but is hopefully worth it.

Clothes
On the bike my clothing must be scalable and comfortable. I wear Assos bibshorts, Devold wool undershirt, Velocio merino shirt, Castelli Arm/knee/leg-warmers, castelly vest and castelli Shakedry jacket.
Off the bike I’ve brought some lightweigt, warm clothes from Norrøna, Devold and Assos. Also some superlightweight “shoes” weighing in at only 180 grams.
The kitchen
The kitchen is based on the need of breakfast in the morning and sometimes also an easy cooked dinner in the evenings. We bring an ultralight gas stove, a sea to summit collabsable pot (made of silicone and aluminium bottom) and some utensils
- Soto Windmaster stove
- Sea to summit X-pot 2.8l
- Collapsible bowls and mugs
Tent and sleeping system
We carry a Gossamer The Two tent with two poles and some stakes. Lightweight, single fabric. Sleep is important so we bring two quite luxurious inflatable Therm-a-Rest sleeping pads, accompanied with some lightweight pillows.
By sleeping in our woolies, and perhaps also our down jackets if its really cold, we hope that our lightweight quilts (Mountain equipment Helium 470 g and Rab Neutrino) will be sufficient.
