In the summer of 2022 we landed in Vardø, the easternmost point of Norway, with our fully loaded bikes. We spent two days cycling west to Nordkapp, the northernmost point on the mainland (*with a paved approach), and then turned southwards with the southernmost point of Norway, Lindesnes, as our next goal. Unfortunately, covid-19 struck just south of Bodø to derail our Detour of Norway and we had to abandon the goal. However, this summer we go back to Bodø to finish what we started!
As last year, we will carry camping gear on our bikes and otherwise be self-supported, except for when we can encroach on friends and family along the way to get a hot shower and use of the laundry.
The plan
1. cycle
the bikes
2. camp
rest and recuperate
3. repeat
and enjoy
the stages
The trip from Vardø to Lindesnes is split into roughly 8 multi-day stages.
